Sponsoring Local Families
Did you know that we send in all the teeth that we extracted throughout the year to a company that then extracts all the minute precious metals within them and sends us a check? From the very beginning of our practice, Dan felt that this was the community’s money. Therefore, each year we’ve used that money to sponsor Truckee and South Lake Tahoe families in need for Christmas.
This year, the check is TWICE what it was last year, (almost $3500!) so we are sponsoring a third family, from the Minden/Carson Valley area. And, the great news is that we’ll still have money left over to donate to Project Mana and the Food Bank of El Dorado County!
Thank you to all the community member who chose Tahoe Oral Surgery for their tooth extractions – your choice of oral surgeons helped place special gifts under the tree for local families in need!
Toy Drives For Locals
We are again hosting Toy Drives at our annual holiday parties that we throw for our dental colleagues. In years past, our donation tables have been overflowing with their generous giving. Toys collected at the South Lake Tahoe party are given to the South Lake Tahoe Family Resource Center and toys collected at the Truckee party are donated to Truckee Community Christmas. Both organization distribute the toys to families in need in their respective local areas.
